Caprivi, or the Caprivi strip as it is often referred to is a pan handle piece of paradise, sandwiched between the north eastern corner of Namibia and bordered by Botswana to the south, and Angola and Zambia to the north. It is a sparsely populated region, with spectacular natural scenery, abundant bird and wildlife. And it is one of our favourite places to visit, here you can enjoy fantastic river vistas, with mandatory hippo chortles, fish eagle calls and some incredible lodges and phenomenal campsites. And the real beauty is that this lesser sung hero is far cheaper and less frequented than its neighbour Botswana. What’s not to love?
